Hello everyone,

We are Adrienne and Mike, the new Community Development Workers (CDWs) at Off the Record, and we’re absolutely delighted to meet you! Having started in August 2025, we wanted to formally introduce ourselves as we wrap up this year and eagerly look ahead to 2026.

You might be wondering - what exactly is a CDW? In essence, our role is all about supporting the communities we belong to. Off the Record is a mental health charity for young people across Croydon, Merton, and Sutton, and we’re here to help identify and break down barriers to mental health support.

We focus on this in two ways:

• By building stronger community connections and raising awareness of our services and mental health support.
• By constantly improving how we work internally - reviewing and evolving what we offer, together with the communities we serve, to ensure we meet the changing needs of young people.

We are incredibly excited to collaborate with everyone involved in supporting young people's mental wellbeing. Most importantly, our focus is on placing you - the young people of our communities - at the very heart of everything we do, letting your vision guide us towards better mental health for all.

So, where can you find us?

Out in the community, of course! We look forward to meeting young people and their support networks across all three boroughs - whether at local groups, events, or in everyday spaces. We will be there to share more about Off the Record, discuss how we can help, and answer any questions you may have.
