Support from Off the Record is primarily for young people; however, from time to time we offer support to parents or carers in the form of groups or workshops. The work we do with young people is completely separate and confidential.

We are currently running group sessions to help parents and carers become better informed about and offer appropriate support to young people struggling with self-harm.

As well as offering a supportive space where you will be able to share with other parents/carers in similar situations, you will learn:

  • An understanding of what self-harm is
  • The reasons why young people self-harm
  • The myths and misconceptions about self-harm
  • Coping strategies and ways to support yourself and your young person
