At times life can be difficult and it can be hard to manage on your own. When this happens, you can feel lots of different things - sad, scared, hopeless or angry. Often we keep all our feelings and thoughts inside ourselves and this can make things worse. We think that it is okay to ask for help at a time like this and that with some support, you might be able to find your own answers.
Counselling is a confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings or experiences over a period of time with the support of a trained listener. It is a friendly and non-judgemental space in which you get to know and understand yourself better and make changes in your life.
Our Merton counselling service is a free service for young people aged 11-25 in Merton.
If you are aged 11-25 you can self-refer to our service by calling or emailing us. If you're under 13 we will need your parent/carer to consent to your referral.
We also accept referrals from CAMHS Single Point of Access, schools, GPs and other professionals via our downloadable referral form at email@example.com. If you're unsure whether we're the right service and you're under 18 is preferable that you are first assessed at CAMHS SPA, they can be contacted on 0208 254 8061 or emailed at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We run a drop-in service every Wednesday at Vestry Hall. You are welcome to just show up between 3.30-5.30pm without an appointment.
