A Safe Space for LGBTQIA+ Young People
June is widely recognised as LGBTQIA+ Pride Month - a time to celebrate identity and the vibrant history and culture of the LGBTQIA+ community. It’s also a time to reflect on the challenges many still face, especially young people navigating their mental health in a world that doesn’t always feel safe or accepting.
At Off the Record, we believe that Brilliant, Beautiful, and Better Mental Health should be a reality for every young person - no matter who you are or who you love.
Why Pride Month Matters
Pride Month is more than parades. It’s a powerful reminder of the resilience, courage, and joy of the LGBTQIA+ community. But it’s also a time to acknowledge the mental health disparities that still exist. LGBTQIA+ youth are significantly more likely to experience anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts - not because of who they are, but because of the discrimination, isolation, and lack of support they often face.
Our Mission: Showing Up for Young People
Our mission is simple: showing up for young people’s mental health across South West London - whenever and wherever you need us. That means creating safe and inclusive spaces where LGBTQIA+ young people can talk openly, be heard, and feel supported.
Whether you're questioning your identity, facing rejection, or just need someone to talk to - we’re here.
What We Offer
You Are Not Alone
This Pride Month, we want every LGBTQIA+ young person to know: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone. Whether you’re out and proud, questioning, or somewhere in between, your mental health matters, and we’re here for you.
Let’s celebrate Pride by lifting each other up, creating safe spaces, and continuing the fight for equality - not just in June, but every day.
